It’s 7:01 AM Saturday morning. I’m about to go live on Fishing Florida Radio with hosts BooDreaux and Steve. They’ve got a great format that mixes fishing forecasts, interviews, and reports with a good smattering of humor. Click: www.fishingfloridaradio.com for the latest fishing news in the sunshine state.
Speaking of Florida…They’ve had a few cool fronts pass through down there. It’s time to dig out your “Speck” (Crappie) gear. Look for Specks in waters 12-feet or deeper. Try lakes; Monroe, Jesup and my favorite, Lake Harney. Dark Road Runners tipped with a minnow are your best bet. It’s transition time so look for Bass and Catfish to be on the move too.
Other blogs…There are two excellent outdoor writer blogs I must share with you. Keith Sutton has a wonderful blog at: http://catfishgumbo.blogspot.com/. Sutton’s work can also be found at: http://search.espn.go.com/keith-sutton/. Alan Clemons has an informative blog at: http://clembone.wordpress.com/ and also is the editor of the Fishing Wire, a daily e-mail newsletter. You can subscribe at: http://www.thefishingwire.com/subscribe.html. Both are prolific writers and I’d bet big money you’ve read their work before in the nation’s best magazines .
This blog…Just a reminder, this is your blog, not mine. If you’d like to see more of something or less of something else, let me know.
This edition wouldn’t be possible without the heroic efforts of our IT team, Colleen and Tyla. They not only saved 99.5% of the files from a dead hard-drive; but also found me a loaner to keep me going. Thanks guys!
