September 20th.
It’s been a hectic week but what a week it’s been!NathB RandyH KenD 4 blog
Besides the usual deadlines and work; this week has been packed with BASS-ESPN related events.

We’ve watched BASS grow and evolve into more of an electronic media organization. They’ve really stepped up to the plate these past few years. I don’t mean just TV; take a look at their on-line content. These guys are really banging out some quality work, quickly.

Why is BASS’s website so important when they already offer two great publications? Because we devour those magazines within a few days and we’re not waiting a month to see what’s new. Thousands of anglers like myelf will log-on to the BASS website during our lunch break, everyday.
It’s also a good idea to know where you’ve been, before looking ahead. So I paticularly enjoyed Ken Duke’s “A look back: 39 years of AOY” on-line video.
Oh, Don Barone’s article “A livewell for Tony” is an example of some fine work too.

This is just one part of the great job they do, running the tournament trail and the well run weigh-in events. Again, great people make this happen. Kudos to the BASS team.

There was a bump in the road this week…
Since I serve on several commitees; I’m privy to some behind the scenes happenings, some of which I regret involve politics. This means I was witness to some mudslinging, jealousy and downright hatefulness. It’s proof yet again of the “Theory of six”. (You get six people together, one will be an absolute idiot.) But alas, the good guys will prevail. It’s just a shame to see someone sully another’s name and at the expense of their community.

There’s another big tournament coming up…
The country’s finest Crappie anglers are making their way to Grenada, MS for the Crappiemaster’s Classic Championship. Each team will be competing for the top prize of TWO fully rigged boats! You can bet the our teams will fish hard for another win. I’ll be working this event and one of my missions is to consult with the Road Runner team, Team Sipes about the design of their new boat wrap. Good luck anglers!

Blessings -TJ

Hope you post a photo of the new boat wrap when it is available. Some of us just don’t seem to get a chance to get to all the tournaments.
